Above & Beyond is dedicated to providing highly individualized care for patients requiring rehabilitative care.  Your plan of care is arrived at through the professional assessment of your Physical Therapist and Physician and is based on your specific functional goals.

  • Why Fee for Service?
Above & Beyond would be unable to provide the individualized, high level of care and treatment at the rates typically reimbursed by insurance companies for physical therapy services. At Above & Beyond, the patient spends an entire individualized hour or more with the Physical Therapist which promotes more efficient healing in less visits. Above & Beyond's rehab services are beneficial for everyone. Our rehab programs will be tailored specific to you and your needs through treatments that are efficient, effective and designed to return you to your active lifestyle quickly.
  • Can I submit my Physical Therapy bills to my insurance for reimbursement?
In most cases the patient may be able to submit for reimbursement, however this will be dependent upon the patient's specific insurance company and insurance plan. Most insurances have a claims form on their website, which can be printed and submitted along with the Above & Beyond invoice for services. The invoice will include your receipt and provider number which the insurance company typically requires to process a claim. Above & Beyond will not complete any additional insurance forms/requests outside of the invoice information listed above. The amount reimbursed is dependent upon the patient's insurance company and plan. If the patient is planning to submit to insurance for reimbursement, it is highly recommended making contact with the insurance company prior to the first Above & Beyond visit and ask about "Out of Network" physical therapy expense coverage.
  • Can I see a Physical Therapist without a referral from my doctor?
Yes. Pennsylvania is a "Direct Access" state for physical therapy meaning that an individual may request an evaluation appointiment with Above & Beyond without a referral from a doctor. Above & Beyond is a PA licensed Direct Access provider. Our policy is to communicate with your physician about your status regardless of initial referral status. Keep in mind that some insurance plans may still require a physician referral in order for physical therapy services to be reimbursed by them (if the patient is planning to submit for reimbursement).
  • Can you see patients with Medicare?
Yes. However Above & Beyond is not a Medicare provider. Any services provided to a Medicare patient are strictly fee for services. In other words, Above & Beyond is not able to submit to Medicare and likewise the patient is not able to submit physical therapy expenses to Medicare for reimbursement.
  • What are your current Covid safety protocols?
Mask use is at the discretion of the patient at this time. Above and Beyond allows for 20 minutes between appointments. That time is spent disinfecting the space prior to the arrival of the next client/patient. Please feel free to reach out to Above and Beyond if you have any additional questions.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
Above & Beyond will charge for the full appointment fee for any appointments that are cancelled with less than 24 hour notice. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment time, Above & Beyond reserves the right to reschedule your appointment. Late arrivals are subject to the full fee for the scheduled session.
  • Is my medical information and privacy protected?
Yes. Above & Beyond understands that medical information about you and your health are personal and private. We are committed to protecting medical information about you. We create a record of the care and services your receive at Above & Beyond. This information is necessary to provide you with quality care and to comply with certain legal requirements. This privcacy practice notice applies to all of the records of your care generated at Above & Beyond. We are required by law to: Ensure that medical information that identifies you is kept private. • Can you see Worker's Compensation or Auto Accident Claims?
Unfortunately Above & Beyond is unable to work with worker's compensation or auto accident claims.
  • Do you provide durable medical equipment (DME)?
DME and other supplies that may be provided to the patient as part of their rehabilitation program are typically not reimburseable by insurance companies and thereby require payment at the time of the therapy session.
